I'm 15 years old, have been home schooled my whole life, and am currently dual enrolled at NOVA with my sister. I am taking my second semester of American Sign Language (ASL) there right now, and wish to continue into that field of study once I am enrolled full time in college. My favorite stroke is breast stroke, however my best stroke is freestyle. I love video games, but rarely get a chance to play them, which is probably a very good thing. :) I'm looking forward to coaching on this team and hope to have a very memorably experience. |

| Vaughn Franklin | Assistant Coach |
Hey guys! My name is Vaughn Franklin, the penultimate child of 8. Swimming has always been one of my favorite and most fond memories. When I moved here from Washington state in 2003 I joined the team which has become my family. VA Oaks Sea Devils Rock! Coaching is the best job anyone can have and I am proud to represent and coach the kids here at VA Oaks. I leave the pool each day feeling accomplished and inspired by my own swimmers tanacity to perfect their stroke, dive and technique. Most of the time it is the smallest things they do that have the greatest impact on how I coach and think. I feel like they teach me everyday, how to appreciate everything and enjoy those little things in life. My swimmers always keep me smiling, laughing and having a blast. Anyway, I just graduated from Battlefield High School and will be attending Virginia Tech next year, hopefully majoring in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, I will be a member of the Air Force ROTC at Viriginia Tech’s Corp of Cadets next year. Unfortunately, This is my last year swimming for VOSD. Go Sea Devils! |

| Lyndsay Santoro - berlynge@comcast.net | Developmental Head Coach |
Hi! My name is Lyndsay Santoro and I’m 17 years old. I’m a senior at Wakefield School in the Plains. This past winter I swam for the Wakefield swim team and was elected captain as well as the past 2 years at my old school, Notre Dame Academy. I’ve lived in Virginia Oaks for 10 years and have been a part of the team the entire time. This will be my third year being a coach for this amazing team. This will also be my third year giving private lessons. I love being able to watch a little boy or girl overcome their fear of the water and take those first steps into swimming. Over the years I’ve swum for different year round teams and have learned a lot and enjoyed them very much. I love the summertime, being with my friends and teaching the sport I love. I love anything chocolate and super sweet. I’m so excited to make tons of fun and amazing memories with this team this summer. |
